150 Trees for 150 Years!
The City of Sanford Appearance Commission has planted 100 trees since joining the Tree City USA program in 2013.
To celebrate Sanford's sesquicentennial anniversary, the Appearance Commission is accepting donations to plant 50 trees by February 2025 -- bringing the total trees planted to 150 in this 150th year.
Tree Varieties
All donations will be used to purchase trees native to the piedmont region. A variety of native trees will be planted throughout the city limits of Sanford on public property.
Donation Options
The public can donate any amount. Individual donations of $150+ or corporate donations of $300+ will qualify for a personalized tree tag.
All donors will receive a special certificate and online acknowledgement.

Online donations may be submitted through FriendsofSanford.com using the Paypal button.
Donations may also be made by a check made payable to Friends of Sanford, Inc. with "150 Trees" on the memo line. Checks may be delivered to the Buggy Company Building at 115 Chatham Street in Sanford or mailed to:

Deadline
Donations must be received by February 28, 2025. Trees will be purchased and planted during the spring of 2025.
